Cindy Acheson, RAHT Cindy is one of our awesome Animal Health Technologists. She has been a RAHT for over 25 years, and brings an incredibly wide range of skills and excellent patient care to our team. Cindy has been with us since January 2012, and is a great asset at the clinic! She lives with her husband and son in Duncan as well as a Brittany Bassett named "Reggie".
Heather Mayhew Heather is our office manager and jack of all trades, and has been with us since 2009, and has been working in the veterinary field for over 20 years, and with that experience has an excellent skill set, and is extremely valuable to our clinic. Heather and her husband have a beautiful acreage where they raise their family and have horses, dogs and cats. Their fur babies consist of her dogs "Angus" and "Boone" as well as their two cats "Phill" and "Peddi".
Allysha Wilson, RVT Allysha is one of our incredibly valuable Veterinary Technologists, and graduated from Douglas College in 2016, and it's been great having her here since she graduated. She was raised on Vancouver Island, and lives here with her husband Tyler and their beloved cats Nero and Magnus. She loves all animals, but especially cats, and any of our feline patients get extra TLC from her, though all animals receive incredible care at her hands. Outside of work she enjoys video games, comics and anime.
Winona Billings Winona started working in 2017 as a receptionist/veterinary assistant. She has been another great addition to our team, and is a huge animal lover (as we all are) with a very kind nature. She lives on a small hobby farm in Shawnigan Lake with her husband and their three dogs, four cats, chickens and horses.
Samantha Blair-Speirs Sam has been working at our clinic since early 2020 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. She really enjoys working with people and loves to see all the animals that come in the clinic. Sam is also doing a distance education program through Thompson Rivers University to become a Registered Veterinary Technologist! Sam has two cats, Kiko and Indiana, and a beloved French Bulldog Sophie. She enjoys spending time with them and her boyfriend. Darlene Loptson Darlene is part of our reception/veterinary assistant team, and has been working at our clinic since 2021. She has been working in the veterinary industry for many more years than that. She lives in the Cowichan Valley, and has a huge soft spot for German Shepherd Dogs, especially her own beloved Eva. Darlene also has an extensive background in dog training. Morgan Machek Morgan has been working at our clinic as part of our reception/veterinary assistant team since 2022. Prior to working here, Morgan worked in the human healthcare field for a number of years. Morgan lives in the Cowichan Valley with her daughter and beloved pets. Christine Gorchinsky Christine has been working part time at our clinic since 2022. She mainly works as a veterinary assistant and with client care, but she also has many years working in veterinary clinics in a managerial aspect, and brings that amazing experience and skill set to our clinic as well. She currently also works part time at the 24 hour emergency center WAVES in Victoria, and it is in emergency that she has worked most of her career in the veterinary industry. Christine lives in the Cowichan Valley with her partner and son. |
